“Meet the Philosopher” Interview Series from Dept. of Philosophy Savitribai Phule Pune University

Most often we as students of philosophy curiously search the web to find the interviews of various philosophers across the globe. A large number of lectures and interviews remain available on youtube and other forums on and by Western philosophers. We have documentaries on philosophers, films on them, interviews with them and above all lectures in both audio and visual format readily available.

However, when it comes to the scholars of philosophy from India, we hardly get any audio-visual format which can be readily available. Keeping that in view, the Dept of Philosophy, Savitribai Phule Pune University started the initiative of “Meet the Philosopher” in which a total number of 13 scholars ranging from Indian and Western philosophy, Sanskrit studies, Indology were interviewed.  The 13 scholars who were interviewed are:

S. R. Talghatti, Sharad Deshpande, K. C. Rauta, Pradeep Gokhale, Mangala Chinchore, Sadanand More, Surjeet Kaur Chahal, Lata Chhatre, Shubhada Joshi, G. U. Thite, S. M. Bhave, Ashok Chousalkar and Jayant Lele

The Dept. intends to take the initiative forward by conducting more interviews with scholars of philosophy and make it avalible on its website.
